Dining @ Mooon Cafe, Abreeza
Last 2011, Mooon Cafe (yup! you've read it right! it's not misspelled) opened their 1st branch in Abreeza. They're located on the 2nd floor beside Hukad and Seafood Island. It's a Mexican-inspired restaurant that serves Mexican dishes that the customers will surely love.
This is how it looks like inside their Abreeza branch. It's full of colors and it has a homey atmosphere that you'll surely feel comfortable dining at their restaurant.
It feels like you've been transported to Mexico once inside Mooon Cafe and I just love it! From the bright wall color, to the artworks, it feels different.
Spaghetti A la Gambas |
Price: 188 Pesos
This dish looks so unique that at the first look, it may look weird because it's called a spaghetti but it doesn't look a spaghetti with a red sauce. Can I say, it's one of the best pasta dish I've eaten? Yup! Even though it's oily because of the butter, the flavors were harmoniously blended together. The shrimp was cooked perfectly just as I've expected.Whenever you drop by at Mooon Cafe, consider Spaghetti A la Gambas in your order.
If there's one spaghetti dish you want to try, don't ever miss out Spaghetti A la Gambas. It was a dinner that made me reminiscent since I haven't visited their branch for a year. But I was not disappointed with it. It was the same feeling as the first time I went there.

The extra O must mean Outstanding and the spaghetti looks really delicious.

ReplyDeleteI do prefer the looks more than food there.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my fave restaurants here in Davao I haven't tried the spaghetti... Will try next time. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been to Davao 2004 to 2005. If this resto alread existed that time I will definitely not miss this... I hope to come back to Davao someday!
ReplyDeleteI like moon cafe specially their ribs and the pizza.. :D
ReplyDeleteYeah I thought it was misspelled. What goes behind the spelling though? Does it mean anything in Mexican?
ReplyDeleteHmmm, honestly, I don't know about the extra "O" in Mooon Cafe and I don't know if it means anything in Mexican. But I know it's Mexican-inspired resto. :D
ReplyDeleteO I so love the chairsm with blue contrasting the bright yellow walls. The food seem to be inviting as well.
ReplyDeleteDo they serve tacos too with lots of cheese? That is my favorites among Mexican food locally.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about it.. Well, since it's a Mexican-inspired restaurant, just expect that they'll serve Mexican dishes.. :D
ReplyDeleteFirst things first, I think it's an italian like spaghetti they served (Not sure) but I think I have eaten that kind of spaghetti, no sauce. It's tasty but I prefer the one with sauce.
ReplyDeleteWith regards to design, love the crescent moon etched on the chairs but I think it would have been better if they created a moon-like (something eery, dark but not too dark kind of atmosphere.
I missed dining in Mooon Cafe, it used to be my favorite dining place when I was still in Cebu. The food are always exceptional plus the rotating pamaypay in the ceiling makes them unique.
ReplyDeleteMooon Cafe used to be my favorite diner place when I was still working in Cebu. Their food are very exceptional and love how they treat the customer. I can't forget their original Filipinize craft design of ceiling fan, Know what it is? a rotating Abaniko. :)
ReplyDeleteI also love spag ala gambas since I love shrimp. I would certainly try their version if given the opportunity
ReplyDeleteThis place is so "sikat" to all Cebuanos. For the questions of Ms. Rochkirstin, I will answer that part, this is according to my Cebuano cousin living in Cebu, it is MOOON because the 3 O's represent the three original artist-owners of the restaurant.
ReplyDeleteI can still remember when I stayed in Cebu for 3yrs and Mooon Cafe is one of fave places to eat. Its good to know that they're also in Abreeza. I suddenly miss them. There was a Mooon Cafe branch here in Manila once but it didnt do well... I hope to be able to visit Davao, soon!
ReplyDeleteWe used to eat here regularly before but lately di na masyado because of the price. Gambas ala luna and Grilled tuna belly FTW.
ReplyDeleteTheir spaghetti looks so yummy and promising. I love how it is cooked.
ReplyDeleteThe Spaghetti A la Gambas looks awesome. Must try for me!
