Archipelago 7107 - A Filipino Feast!

August 20, 2013 - If we talk about Filipino food, Archipelago 7107 is one great choice. They serve authentic Filipino food that we'll surely love to eat. For instance, I love Filipino food because it has the right amount of flavors that favors my taste buds. When Glen invited us for a hearty dinner together with the Pinoy Travel Bloggers, who am I to pass this one out? Of course, I want to join! :D

Inside Archipelago 7107
Archipelago 7107 just had a Grand Opening few weeks ago. It's located beside Cellar de Boca at SM Lanang Premier. Upon entering the restaurant, you can see the big space that it occupied. It has warm lights to make the customers feel the warm atmosphere. It's clean and by the time I arrived, there were like few customers. I guess, I just arrived too early since the dinner starts at 8 P.M., I'm already at the resto by 7 P.M.

If you happen to eat at Cellar de Boca and ran out of seats, you can actually enter Archipelago 7107 and eat. Same thing goes with the Archipelago 7107 that you can also enter Cellar de Boca and dine inside.

Menu
What I love with this resto was the courteous lady who entertained my questions about Archipelago 7107 and how it started. She said, the owner of the resto is the same owner of Barrio Fiesta which happens to be the popular restaurant in Manila. They offer the same menu but the difference is the name. She handed me the menu that shows the best of Filipino dishes.

Minutes later, my blogger friend Angel arrived and we're asked to transfer to another table that has better lighting. We were served with their drinks that made me remember my high school years. :D

I can't remember exactly this drink but it has tapioca and gulaman in it. Every sip of this drink reminded me how I was in my teenage years. This was so delicious and I enjoyed drinking while chatting with Angel. The taste of tapioca and gulaman complemented very well with the drink. In fact, I love chewing the tapioca and it always happens whenever I drink Zagu Pearl Shakes. :D

Minutes later, more bloggers arrived and had some chit chat with them and a little later, the Pinoy Travel Bloggers joined us and the dinner was served on the table.

The dinner

This is their Crispy Pata. When eating this dish, expect two things: Crispy skin and delicious meat!

It's best eaten when dipped with soy sauce to add more flavor. Too bad I didn't had a chance to try their skin since it's my favorite part of Crispy Pata. :D

This is the Kare-Kare. This is one dish that I've expected to be served on this dinner and I'm glad that it's included which made me a happy foodie!

This version of Kare-Kare is by far one of the most delicious I've tried especially if paired with bagoong. The soup itself is perfect and you just need a cup of rice to complete the meal.

This is the Mama Chit's Special. It consists of viands served in a "bilao". It also has four different kinds of sauces to dip on.

This is ideal for big group or big family. I've tried most of them and every single viands are just so yummy! This one solved my dinner! :D

To cap off the dinner, we were served with their own version of Turon. It is thinner than an ordinary turon being sold in the city.

This turon has slightly bitter taste maybe because of the caramelized sugar and some got stuck on my teeth. I didn't dig in with the turon as I only ate one.

Well, the dinner didn't disappoint me as the star of the night was the Kare-kare which I loved so much! I know I can't eat it everyday but whenever I see it, I can't contain myself by just staring at it, seducing me to eat and have a sip on it!

It was fun eating with fellow bloggers as we share the same passion and hobby and that is to take a shot on the food before we feast on them. Thanks Archipelago 7107 for the hearty dinner and Glen for inviting the bloggers. Special thanks to Pinoy Travel Bloggers for joining with us! Hope to see you all once again and interact more with the Davao Bloggers.

Paalam! Thanks for reading!
