Pepper Lunch Inauguration

March 17, 2013 - Pepper Lunch had its soft opening last 2012 catering to customers who wants to have good steak in a short amount of time. This brilliant idea was created by a Japanese chef and inventor Mr. Kunio Ichinose who wanted to serve quality, fast food without the need of a chef who've been trained for a long time.

What's unique with Pepper Lunch is you can cook your own food right at your table using the patented electromagnetic plate which is heated up to 260 degrees Celsius within 1 minute! Sounds cool right!

Pepper Lunch at The Peak - Gaisano Mall of Davao
Pepper Lunch here in Davao is located at The Peak of Gaisano Mall of Davao beside CBTL (Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf). It opened last 2012 and currently, it's the 1st branch in Visayas and Mindanao. Soon, they'll open more branches in Manila, Cebu, etc. This branch in Davao is their 12th branch and as of today, they have a total of 14 branches nationwide.

Ribbon Cutting
Pepper Lunch at The Peak was brought here by Gaisanos (whom who also brought Happy Lemon) and their business partner and at the same time, a popular basketball player Chris Tiu. They've been friends since college and they've planned to bring Pepper Lunch here in the Philippines and luckily, it made a big name, became a popular restaurant and expanded outside Manila.

The counter
Pepper Lunch has a wide variety of cuts from chicken, pork, beef and salmon which are served with rice and vegetables for the guests to cook. For their inauguration, I was made to choose the dishes that will be served only for that day. I chose Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice.

Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice
This dish consists of beef, rice topped with vegetables, pepper and sunny side-up egg on the side. The meal also comes with a teriyaki sauce. It's carefully arranged on the electromagnetic plate. How to eat? It's in you. You may mix them up altogether, eat it right away, it's your choice. But you have to cook them first to satisfy your palate. And because I was the one who did the cooking, I have to say, I loved what I've done with my dish! (lol!). The price is pretty expensive. It's 245 Pesos.

Chris Tiu with the Davao Bloggers
Of course, I was not alone when we had the inauguration at Pepper Lunch. I was with the Davao Bloggers and other invited guests. Thanks to Ms. Joyce Mariscal who invited us to this wonderful event! And thanks to Pepper Lunch for a delicious meal that I had! Until next time! :D

  1. Pepper Lunch is one of my favorite restaurants as I like the slightly grilled thinly sliced meat that goes with their meals.
