Red Bean Caffe: The Fashion Cafe!

July 27, 2013 - After my piano lesson with my student, I went to Gaisano Mall for lunch and as a mall rat, of course, I wouldn't pass a chance to roam around and check what's new in the mall. This was the time when I was scouting for my wash Wednesday attire which is "Color Blocking." :D

Anyway, as I was waiting for a jeepney to come, I remembered that I wanted to try the new coffee shop in Pink Walter's Inn. I always pass by in that area whenever I go home from school. This was the day that I had a chance to visit this new coffee shop in Davao.

Red Bean Caffe: The Fashion Cafe
This is the Red Bean Caffe located at the Pink Walter's Inn in Quimpo Boulevard. It's easy to navigate as it is located below the building. Outside, it may look like an ordinary coffee shop providing convenience for those who are too tired to ride a jeepney or taxi to SM Davao just to have a sip of good coffee from the coffee shops located inside the mall. But since this was new to me, I had to go inside to check this one out.

When I entered into this coffee shop, there was a wall facing me. I was confused on where to go. Then, I decided to turn right, then turned left.

The space was big and true to their name, the chairs, tables and their walls were mostly red. This was like my first time to enter a coffee shop where all elements were dominated by the colors red and black.

Looking at their wall, I had no clue why they have these beautiful ladies being so stylish. I haven't seen this kind of poster in other coffee shops. Nevertheless, this one is a unique concept for a coffee shop.

Now this is getting weirder. After I ordered my cake, I sat down and relaxed. But then, I noticed the signature bags across my table. I wondered why would they display such bags in a coffee shop?

But on the other note, I really find this concept so unique. I haven't seen these bags being displayed in a coffee shop and Red Bean Caffe did this! Actually, you can really buy them at this coffee shop!

As I was looking at my table, I noticed something different... again..

Underneath this table were a handful of magazines and a newspaper. This is much more convenient unlike other coffee shops where you have to get them from the rack. Now, you can get them just underneath your table! Cool! (I haven't read them though.. hehe!)

This is the cake that I ordered. It's the Cookies and Cream Cake. This cake is one of the ice cream cakes they sell here at Red Bean Caffe. It's composed of a cookies and cream flavored ice cream being sandwiched by chocolate cake.

Price: 95 Pesos

The lady at the counter told me that this cake melts right in your mouth. I had doubts about it at first but I still gave this one a go since it's relatively new to me.

The cake itself was presented well despite its simplicity and the syrup on the plate was an added bonus and flavor. When I tasted the cake, it was good! The lady was right about the description of its taste. It's one reason why you have to trust these guys. They know what's good for you to eat.

The taste of the ice cream blended so well with the chocolate cake and together, they gave great flavors to the cake which I really like. The frosting on top added the sweetness on the cake. But, despite the cake being so delicious, this was a simple cake. Yes, it looks yummy, the taste was good, but it didn't left a mark on being the best cake. After all, the cake that I just ate was a cake with an ice cream being sandwiched. Though, the cake was really good but I really wanna try their bestseller next time. You can still try this cake though. :D

Well, overall, I had a nice stay in this coffee shop. There's one more thing I noticed (again!), since it's a fashion cafe, at least, the employees must wear a uniform where fashion is the main concept. Some of them were just wearing their usual t-shirt for work. I must say, the whole concept was ruined by the employees not wearing a proper uniform. Sorry. :D

I had a chance to connect to their Wi-Fi and finished the syndication while eating the cake! After my visit at Red Bean Caffe, I headed home for a while then went to Chippens for the Asus event.

Adieu!
Thanks for reading!
