August 1, 2013 - Riding a taxi in Davao is always a choice when it comes to convenience and safety. The drivers themselves are honest and kind to the passengers. But of course, there are some who are plain opposite. Still, majority of them can be really trusted and you can even have a fun conversation with them about almost anything!
When I was going home, I rode a taxi since there are times that I'm tired of riding in a jeepney. When I went inside the taxi, I noticed 2 things: a small TV hanged and a GPS. Pardon my ignorance but I was amazed by these things to the point that I couldn't stop talking about it. I promised myself to blog about this and fortunately, I have the pictures with me to post here! :D

While riding in the taxi, I had so much fun watching the movie "The Avengers." Actually, the movie experience in the taxi was complete with surround-sound speakers to make the experience much better. Although, I have seen a TV in the taxi, it's still amazes me that somehow, only few taxis managed to have a small television inside. Cool huh!

| Global Positioning System or GPS |
This is the one that I was crazy about while inside the taxi. It's the GPS or Global Positioning System.
It is a space-based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather conditions, anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. It is very useful especially if there are locations which the driver doesn't know. In South Korea, it is voice-activated and they can give an exact location of the place you want to go. But in the taxi that I was riding, the driver pressed the location that he'll visit. It is so convenient especially for the first timers who wants to visit a certain place. It's only available with the Kahayahay Taxis here in Davao City. If you happen to ride one of them, you'll be so lucky especially if you want to visit a place for the first time and you're unsure with the location. When it comes to riding a taxi, Davao is one of the best choice! :D
