KFC's Crispy Butter Chicken.. My Thoughts
November 13, 2013 - I always eat at KFC when the clock strikes at 12:00 (not the Cinderella thing) and my default order would be the Flavor Shots Meal which costs like 50 Pesos only. But it has been months since I last dined at KFC and this was the perfect time to try their new meal which is the Crispy Butter Chicken.
Since its maiden appearance on the television, I wonder how it tastes since they claim that it's different from an ordinary fried chicken that they've served. Initially, I want to have my lunch at Goldilocks but to break my curiosity, I made a visit in their SM City Davao branch to try it.
The Serving:
This Crispy Butter Chicken consists of buttered chicken, buttered rice, mashed potatoes with corn kernels on top and gravy. It also comes with soda of your choice. Price: 99 Pesos
The Taste:
What I didn't expect was their chicken. It's so big just like what I order in Chickies and Patties but of course, it's marinated with butter so it's expected to have a different taste somehow. But, when I had a bite of the chicken, it's crispy but haven't tasted the butter. I don't know but it seemed so ordinary in my opinion.
What I love more is their buttered rice which was more delicious. I thought they should have promoted the buttered rice instead. But when I flipped the chicken on the other side, that's where I found the butter flavor and it was good! Gotta love their mashed potato too! Would I recommend this dish? Try first instead and judge.

ReplyDeleteI like the new taste of butter chicken but I was really disappointed about how small the chicken is! I used to be so full in their one piece chicken, but with my recent experience with KFC, bitin na ang 1 piece chicken meal.
ReplyDeleteIf you want buttered rice, you can add 1 cube of butter together with the rice grain and water ;). I like KFC's hot in crispy chicken. I haven't tried that new meal yet.

ReplyDeleteI been only in KFC for two times already. I really love their chicken. It is so delicious but they do not have rice here just mash potatoes :-)

ReplyDeleteKFC here and there are different. Chicken here are often serve with fries and no rice. The worse part, gravy is consider as sides. Meaning you have to buy it as well. :(
