My Neighborhood.. In Pictures

August 22, 2014 - While the cat is away, the mouse will play! And it's the exact thing that I did! Since the arrival of the new camera (which is so awesome by the way), I have the habit of exploring its features and test them in different environment. And this was the perfect time for me to do it and there's no other place to test the camera but in my neighborhood! Well, here are some of the pictures that I took just this afternoon and tried different modes, perfect in different locations.

The first one are the plants and flowers. Well, they may not be as majestic as you might think but with the help of macro and me, being playful of colors, it produced some wonderful results! Here they are!

The next 2 pictures that I took are of different mode. What made me love the pictures are the colors that are so rich and just so beautiful! Haaay!

I used the Landscape Mode for this photo. It's perfect if you want to have blue and green landscape. To give more life in the picture, I saturated the picture into 50% to give more emphasis on the blue sky and the clouds. The result turned out to be what I didn't expect. Yeah, I can't describe in words. :D

While I was just looking around the neighborhood, I noticed something extraordinary like flames in the sky! It turned out to be a sunset and for this picture, I used the Sunset Mode to enhance the vividness of the sky. I didn't saturate the picture as it's already very bright and saturating the picture might destroy the overall image. Somehow, an auto-correct in the picture is already enough. :D

Well, there you have it! As I used our new camera, it's better uploaded on Flickr if the picture is already edited and the colors are already adjusted. Saturation really helps a lot especially if you want a vivid picture but if it's vivid already, you can just auto-correct or just leave as it is.. Well, have fun taking pictures guys!

Au Revoir! Thanks for reading!

P.S.
- I used the Samsung EK GC-100 for my pictures. It's a Smart Camera and one of the latest models in Samsung. So far, I like the features and the pictures are the proof why I love using it. :D

    1. Thanks! :D

At first, I was a bit disappointed when I uploaded the pictures in the computer since it looked like it's taken from a smart phone but when I tweaked them, it looked just better and produced richer colors. Well, I'm satisfied with the results. :D

  2. I agree. sometimes it's frustrating to see that your picture edited on your phone is way too good on it than when transferred on the PC.

I also do some picture taking on my phone, especially the sunset. the scene is just so beautiful.

  5. I use auto-correct too. LOL. I used to be that eager to learn about my camera, now I use the green-mode because I don't want to miss great shots. I don't want to feel sorry for adjusting things I shouldn't have. Though sometimes, it's not the result that I wanted. Thanks to editing tools, right?

  8. You have a really nice neighborhood. It's always nice to take photos of the sky approaching sunset because of the combination of the clouds and the sun.

  13. Great pictures! I love going around the neighborhood and taking pictures too. Some people have that funny look on their face when they see me snapping away. I don't care. I go on my business and go for what makes me happy. BTW, your pictures made my day. I love the flower pics!
