Yummy Lunch @ Yummy's
August 29, 2014 - Whenever I pass Torres Street, there's one establishment that I'm always eyeing to try and that's Yummy's! It's why after Jazz's performance at PWC, our plan was to eat at SM Lanang Premier since they'll proceed to my other niece Gabby in her school. But with the sudden change of plans, we went instead to Yummy's and had lunch there.
Yummy's used to have a big space till the other restaurant Alor's occupied the other half. Still, Yummy's utilized the remaining space and it's comfortable to eat lunch in their place. I love how they play with colors as it brightened the whole restaurant and gave life to it.
Actually, we transferred to another table since it was a bit warm. My mom ordered a loaf of Banana Cake for the dessert but I wasn't able to try the cake and didn't even ask them how it tasted (I know. Silly me!). But the Banana Cake looked delicious though.
My dad ordered Beef Caldereta and good thing, I took a picture of it before it was being devoured. The Macaroni Salad was included in the dish which is a big plus! BUT, I wasn't able to ask him how it tasted! (Ugh!) If you want to know what's in Beef Caldereta, it has of course slices of beef, potatoes, red bell pepper, and the sauce that would make you feel like in cloud nine!
It's a must try for those who love beef or for the first timers who want to taste the delicious dish. My mom ordered Chicken Adobo while my sister ordered Dinuguan.
Since I promised myself not to eat pork, I ordered Chicken Barbecue and it's one of their recommended dish as they said, it's really delicious. When my dish arrived at the table, Good Lord! The Chicken Barbecue delighted my senses and this was a real treat!
The Chicken Barbecue meal includes a cup of Java rice and achara (Pickled Papaya and Carrots) and the main star, the Chicken Barbecue lathered in a barbecue sauce in one plate. I admit, it's one of the attractive dish and couldn't keep my eyes off the plate!
The meat of the chicken was just plentiful and took my time to eat them. Every slice counts and it doesn't even need a soy sauce for flavoring although you can have one. The Java rice tasted perfectly with the chicken barbecue and the achara balances the flavor of the dish. Overall, this dish won my heart and would love to eat this one again if ever I reach downtown though. Nonetheless, I'll be back four days from now! Excited!
Thank you Yummy's for the delicious lunch and the Chicken Barbecue is one superb dish! Recommended for chicken lovers! :D
