Crepelato's Gelatea
April 3, 2013 - I'm sure you've heard about gelato and how delicious it is especially when it's thick and creamy. I'm even sure that you've heard about milk tea and how refreshing it is when the weather is scorching hot and not just that, milk tea can also help our body healthy.
Now, my question is, have you ever tried combining your two favorites into 1 drink? You would think my question is somehow crazy, but it's not.. really. Crepelato just did the impossible into a reality.
Gelatea just tickled my curiosity because of its unique (but weird) combination of a gelato and milk tea into 1 drink. When I looked up in their menu on the wall, it looks so tempting and the cashier made me tempted even more when she described the Gelatea. She recommended me to try the taro milk tea with food for the gods gelato.

Taro Milk Tea with a Gelato |
I'm a big fan of milk tea especially the pudding milk tea. When I first tried it, it's an instant hit that I would always buy it when I have a chance. It's been my drink since. On the other hand, gelato is a different kind of dessert. It's creamier and thicker than an ordinary ice cream which made it special. Combining these 2 favorites is a crazy idea right? But with Crepelato, it's not crazy, rather, it's innovative. (wink!)

At first, I had doubts in mind whether this drink will not work for me or I'm afraid to waste another money again. But because I love exploring new creations, I had to buy one. When I tasted the drink, in an instant, I loved it! The taro milk tea was so delicious that it reminded me of my first try in Tealoca. But their taro milk tea is much sweeter and more delicious.
The food for the gods gelato filled up the meter-o-delicious as it brought not just the thick consistency of it, but also the flavor that combined with the taro milk tea.
Gelatea is something for me to look up to. I might try other combinations but taro milk tea and food for the gods gelato combination won my taste buds and of course, my heart. They proved that milk tea and gelato would go together very well. Lots of flavors and a delicious retreat from this summer heat. And.... thanks for reading! :D

Hi there, I haven't tried this yet but I'm curious about it's taste. Do they have choco flavor? Anyway, NCCC Cinemas has an offering for all their moviegoers this summer. The first 35 moviegoers will get a FREE milk tea from Crepelato. Succeeding redeemers can also get their Gelatea at 50% off. :-)
