An Early Dinner @ Rego's Cafe

May 1, 2013 - Every Wednesday night is always Trivia Night at Bigby's Abreeza branch. But before heading to Abreeza, I had the chance to try something new and I found it on Rego's Cafe.

Rego's Cafe at The Peak, Gaisano Mall of Davao
Rego's Cafe is one of the restaurants that can be found in Gaisano Mall of Davao at The Peak. It's relatively new and it's the only branch that they have as of this moment. I do hope that they'll expand in other malls. :D

Inside Rego's Cafe reveals much of a homey-atmosphere that I truly love. I always love the feeling of being at home away from home as it relaxes you from a tiring journey in downtown riding a jeepney. I honestly loved this place and since the time I went here, I was the only customer and it made me feel more relaxed and comfortable eating here. Haay! :D

Although, of course their place is small, they've done beautifully when it comes to the design of the restaurant. The design relaxed my senses and it feels like you're at home to eat good food! If I were to choose to eat dinner here at G-Mall, I would not hesitate to answer to choose this place over other restaurants.

At Rego's Cafe, they specialize more on pastas and meals.
Since it's early dinner, I opt for pasta since I'm a bit hungry already.

I chose Pasta Primavera. This kind of pasta dish consists of mostly vegetables. Since I love veggies and I want something new and unique, this one fit the bill! This pasta dish contains bell pepper, squash, carrots, garlic, a leafy vegetable which I forgot (sigh!), parmesan cheese, and garlic bread. This pasta is drizzled with olive oil.

Price: 115 Pesos (solo)

Unlike what I've experienced in Cafe France's Spaghetti Pomodoro which was really salty, this one tasted perfectly! I could taste all vegetables in this pasta dish. From red bell pepper, squash, garlic, parmesan cheese, they were in harmony! Although, the serving was like small for me, I had a good dinner with this one. For those who are into veggies, try this one!

If you are a vegan/vegetarian, visit Rego's Cafe and choose the pasta dish that I've ordered. Pasta Primavera is so perfect for those who are not into meat or doesn't want a usual spaghetti on their plate. Try this one guys! Although, Pasta Primavera is not your usual pasta, it has the unique taste that can make you crave for more! In fact, I wanted more because it's just so delicious! If I have time, I promise to eat Pasta Primavera again!

Thanks for reading!

  1. The serving looks generous just by looking at the photo. I guess the plates are small, then? :)
