Foods That I Recently Ate..

May 26, 2013 - We have to admit, we need food! We love munching our favorite food even it can make us guilty and unaware that we're already gaining weight! I do have lots of favorite food but I can control my appetite and save them for later indulgence. :D

My plan actually is to make an entry in each of these foods that I recently ate just last week. But ultimately decided to just include them in this entry. Have fun reading!

Goldilocks Pinipig Polvoron
1.) Goldilocks Pinipig Polvoron - I ate this polvoron last week during Tea Amo Bistro event. Karla bought a pack of pinipig polvoron just for us to munch on. I badly missed their polvoron since it's one of my favorites along with H.O.P (House of Polvoron).

When Goldilocks is not yet here in Davao, my dad makes sure to buy a pack of delicious Goldilocks polvoron for us to eat and enjoy! The taste of their polvoron is so much different from other polvorons that I've tried. Yuuum!

Gelato from Gelatomania
2.) Gelatomania's Gelato - Gelato goodness from Gelatomania solved my night. Last May 22, 2013, Gelatomania had a Buy 1 Take 1 promo from 6-8 PM. As a gelato lover, I didn't pass the chance to indulge with their creamy, rich and sweet gelato that every customer loved.

On the left, I had Tiramisu and Mascarpone while on the right is Rose and Crema Della Nonna. The servings were generous enough for me to enjoy and indulge their gelato. Yummy! :D

Sym's Gourmet's Chocolate Cake
3.) Sym's Gourmet's Chocolate Cake - If you want an affordable moist chocolate cake, Sym's Gourmet is the best place to look for it. They may have a cheap chocolate cake but damn! They have the best one that I've eaten!

Those moist texture of the chocolate cake topped with sweet rich creamy frosting is always a good combination. Every bite counts. Yummy! The price is just 30 Pesos per slice.

Masareal
4.) Masareal - One of the best delicacies made in Cebu is their Masareal. Whenever someone is from Cebu and happened to bring some "pasalubongs", I would always look for the Masareal. It's so sweet that I could only manage to finish 2 sticks of it. This is so perfect if you just want a light snack while doing something like perhaps, surfing the internet or watching television shows.

Many years ago, one of my relatives served masareal during the Fiesta in Bogo City, Cebu. This is a must try delicacy and don't forget to bring this home to your loved ones!

Green Mango
5.) Green Mango - I always crave on green mangoes whenever I see them in the sidewalks. I don't know but I love them more than ripe ones. Maybe because I love the sour taste of it. When I eat green mangoes, I always pair it with vinegar and rock salt and I'm good to go! The combination is just so good and again, every bite counts when you eat green mangoes! Seriously, if you're a tourist, don't leave this country without trying the good ol' green mangoes! And one more thing, I'm the one who sliced the green mango! :D

So, there you have it! These 5 foods that I've listed happened to be also my favorites and I consider them my comfort food. Whenever I'm out of my house and  I'm looking for something to eat, it's just in this list but most of the time, it's always the green mangoes that I can find and indulge. How about you? What are the foods that you recently ate? Share your story here! :D

Ciao!
Thanks for reading! :D
