Pineapple Crumble Tasting @ Backyard Burgers, Ecoland

May 21, 2014 - I just had to skip all of my GenSan entries to give way of this mandatory entry but I tell you, you'll salivate right after I finish this post. :D

Anyway, to start off, the owner of Backyard Burgers and my good friend Rica sent a PM on Facebook telling me that if ever, I can taste their new product to be launched this month and if I could bring bloggers with me. Without further ado, I said yes and promised to bring my blogger friends to taste the Pineapple Crumble. One bonus is, we get to meet the baker of the delicious dessert!

Nachos!
Before we taste the Pineapple Crumble, Juan, one of the owners gave us nachos to munch on! I really love nachos and it could be my dinner as it's aplenty and it looked so delicious! A perfect snack to fill in my tummy before tasting the Pineapple Crumble.

The baker, Dan
Sarah and I were asked to stay outside as we listen to the baker of the Pineapple Crumble. The thing is, so far, the one we're gonna taste is the first Pineapple Crumble in the country and it made me more excited as of course, to taste it here is a big thing! I'm no stranger when it comes to pineapple-based desserts but to taste this dessert is something that I could be proud of together with the guests and bloggers who were present to this special event.

Pineapple Crumble
This Pineapple Crumble uses fresh pineapple from Bukidnon and it made the dessert more special. From the looks of it, I can tell that I'm eating something special. But before this dessert was made into perfection, it went to many failures and disapproval until his mom smiled and he knew right away that he got the perfect taste.

Right now, it's only available in Backyard Burgers branches and one slice costs 90 Pesos. It's packaging is ready for those who want to eat Pineapple Crumble at home.

Pineapple Crumble after being sliced
What I love about this Pineapple Crumble is the taste that is not that sweet but it's packed with flavors that can make you eat more! If I'm not in diet, I could eat two more slices since it really tasted so good! What I love about crumbles is you can actually finish all of it without leaving the crust. The pineapple was plentiful thus I enjoyed eating this dessert so much! I recommend this dessert for those who love to eating a pineapple based desserts. :)

Korean Burger
Just as I thought we're already finished with Pineapple Crumble, Juan gave us their new burgers and of course, we couldn't say no to this! First up is the Korean Burger which is one of their new burgers that they serve. Of course, this burger wouldn't be complete without a kimchi on the side and we know very well that Korean dishes are hot and spicy. But since we're five in the table, I sliced the burger into quarters for fair sharing and we started devouring the burger. :D

As I've tasted the burger, I just got to love how spicy it is but at the same time, it's flavorful and so delicious! I know it's a bit unusual to see them in a burger but surprisingly, they go very well in one, juicy burger! I would order this one again in a heart beat!

Spicy Bacon Burger
The other burger we've tried is the Spicy Bacon Burger which is also one of their new burgers. By just looking at the burger, we knew we're up to something really good especially that cheese and the sauce oozing with goodness that made our eyes being enticed to eat the burger!

Like the Korean Burger, it's also spicy which again, I love it! Although I haven't tasted much as we have to divide the burgers, I only got a few portion thus I want to order this one again if time permits. I'm sure this will be really delicious too! :)

Dan with the Davao Bloggers
Thank you so much Juan and Rica Gadi for inviting us to taste the Pineapple Crumble and their new burgers. To the baker Dan for the delicious dessert that made me want to order again this time, for myself! I'm looking forward to try the cheesecakes soon and order again their Spicy Bacon Burger.

Arrivederci! Thanks for reading!
