Delighting The Night And Day @ Cafe Amoree, Microtel GenSan Branch

April 26, 2014 - After our heavy snacks at Karate Kid, we went back to Microtel since the schedule of the cinema didn't wait for us (hehe!). As we went back to our room, we missed one thing and that was dessert! I convinced my little tykes to be with me at Cafe Amoree just to try what's in there. Immediately, we dressed up and went down to the first floor and headed to Cafe Amoree.

Cafe Amoree near Microtel
Cafe Amoree here in Microtel is one of the branches here in GenSan the other being located in SM City GenSan. It's an advantage when you're near Microtel as restaurants and cafe's are conveniently located to where we stayed. As we arrived at Cafe Amoree, we mustered some courage as it was packed with customers that night.

Desserts!
As we went inside, we were thankful that we found vacant seats for us to enjoy the desserts! There were so many to choose from but immediately, I already eyed the Rocky Road Brownies at the bottom to which I was excited to eat again! We opt to just drink water since we're just gonna eat desserts.

Rocky Road Brownies
I first tried Rocky Road Brownies when I was at Chicco di Caffe in SM City Davao. You can immediately identify this brownie because of the marshmallow that topped the brownie. This was the exact same dessert! The chewiness of the brownie was there, it was moist and I love moist brownies! It didn't give me a horrendous reaction to my nose since the cocoa didn't gave a strong aroma which was why I loved eating the brownie.

Moist Chocolate Cake
The Moist Chocolate Cake that my nephews ordered looked so salivating that I also want a bite of it! That perfect round shape and frosting that is oh shiny that made the dessert perfect and an eye candy! It's supposed to be moist but slicing the cake made me think otherwise. It wasn't as moist as I've expected but I still tasted it. It would be a lot better if the cake remained moist to justify the name of the cake.

Ube Cake
My niece Jazz ordered Ube Cake since she developed a love affair with the color purple and I wasn't aware of it before. Of course, she loved it but was also generous enough to share her cake with us! Yup we dug in it and tasted the cake. It was a complete opposite to the chocolate cake I've tried; It was easy to slice and a bit sweet. We had lots of fun eating our dessert and being with my little tykes was already fun! :D

Inside Cafe Amoree
Next morning, I went back to Cafe Amoree just to have breakfast since they're open for 24 hours. The space inside Cafe Amoree was small and it's why they have tables and chairs just in front of the coffee shop to accommodate more customers when the night falls. I love how the coffee shop faced the wonderful sunshine in the morning as it gave me a reason to have a meaningful breakfast! :D

Continental Breakfast
I ordered a Continental Breakfast which it consists of German Sausage, toasted bread, sunny side up egg and marmalade with juice as my drink. I love how they presented it as it looked so tasty and appetizing! They also have other option of their breakfast as you can have sliced ham, scrambled or sunny side up egg, toasted bread and marmalade with Cafe Americano or juice as drinks.
Price: 145 Pesos.

The Yum!
The toasted bread had a perfect crunch on it and if combined with marmalade, it complemented so well in terms of flavors. The German sausage had a right amount of spiciness which it can't burn your tongue early in the morning but it was good! The sunny side up egg on the other hand completes the breakfast and yes, it's also a perfect pair with toasted bread. Overall, I had a satisfying breakfast and I would love to eat it again if given a chance. Thanks Cafe Amoree for a wonderful breakfast and dessert! :D

Adieu! Thanks for reading!
