The Midnight Dream Cake @ Bigby's Abreeza

First of all, welcome to my new blog! It has been 10 months of active blogging and now, Davao City Guy will be on the roll! And let's get back to business.. :D

July 3, 2013 - After my class at Brokenshire College, I decided to join the Trivia Night with the Davao Bloggers at Bigby's Abreeza but before that happened, since I'm not hungry that time, I ordered something for me to munch on. From countless delectable desserts, I chose the Midnight Dream Cake.

Midnight Dream Cake
Midnight Dream Cake is composed of moist, dark chocolate cake with mocha and toffee sauce. This is one of the delectable desserts from Bigby's and indeed, it looks delicious based on the plating. The presentation looks wonderful and an eye-candy! For those who are into sweets, you'll definitely love this cake!

Price: 110 Pesos

Closer look
The cake itself is just so attractive to look at. Who wouldn't fall in love the way it's presented? With the chocolate kisses on top, it added some flavor and taste of the cake. But as I eat this cake, I think it's not moist enough. It's a bit dry and the frosting were an added bonus to the cake.

Strawberry!
The good thing is, they have strawberry and I absolutely loved it! It maybe sour but it's what strawberry tastes like. The sourness of strawberry complemented well with the sweetness of the chocolate cake. The toffee sauce on the plate added the sweetness if mixed with chocolate cake.

Overall, their Midnight Dream Cake was just okay. The cake could have been more moist so that their description of this delectable dessert could be justified. Nonetheless, if you want to dive in with this dessert, buy and eat one! :D

Adieu!

  1. For 110 pesos, it's almost the same price with the cake slices of other high profile restaurants and coffee shops. I've got to try this one and see for myself. Thanks for sharing this! This is another reason for me to go to Bigby's.
